About MINDECO
MINDECO has been providing comprehensive consulting services covering geological, geochemical, and geophysical surveys and drilling for natural resources such as groundwater, hot springs, geothermal energy, oil and minerals for more than 40 years. We have the expertise to evaluate, monitor and design facilities for rock and tailings dams in a safe, reliable and efficient manner. We also provide subsurface soil environment investigation and remediation services.
OUR HISTORY
MINDECO was established as a separate company from MESCO (Mitsui Kinzoku Engineering Inc.,) on June 5th, 1981.

SERVICES
Geological surveys
MINDECO believes that the field of geology can provide a wide range of perspectives that can be utilized to create and implement solutions to meet clients’ needs. Therefore, we work closely with geologists, geophysicists, drilling engineers and environment specialists, to exchange opinions to seek the best solutions for clients. Recently, young geologists have started to work with geophysicists to develop drone applications such as LiDAR.
Geophysics
MINDECO was the first company to introduce time-domain EM surveys, and we have a wealth of experience and expertise regarding mineral, oil, water, and geo-engineering fields which we have been acquiring for more than 30 years. We have also been developing and improving the SQUIEM system with JOGMEC for more than 15 years and have utilized it in a wide range of fields, from mineral and geothermal to oil. In 2017, we applied the system for EOR monitoring in Thailand, and obtained excellent results. The same year MINDECO started to provide MT services for the geothermal field. We have also developed a drone airborne magnetic system and applied it to mineral exploration to reveal geological basement structures and typical features surrounding existing mineral occurrence areas.
Geo-engineering
MINDECO has provided drilling services, covering everything from geothermal energy, to hot springs to groundwater, not only throughout Japan but also overseas. As with all of our work, strict attention is given to safety. MINDECO’s rock specialists have been contributing to rock safety management and evaluation of underground facilities. MINDECO is also monitoring abandoned mines by measuring water quality and operating facilities in the Izumo area .
Soil environments
MINDECO has substantial experience and expertise with the study of the dissemination of soil contaminants such as VOCs, heavy metals, and oil in factories, gas stations and so forth. We have proposed a wide variety of remediation approaches for clients and provided services for cleaning up the contamination.
